Organization

Centennial Mental Health Center (CMHC) is the sole comprehensive, region-wide provider for mental health and substance use disorder treatment in rural northeastern Colorado. CMHC is dedicated to providing the highest quality care through the preservation of human dignity, self-respect and client rights.

Challenge

Since 2008, CMHC has experienced an increasing demand for their services. CMHC realized their two small, outdated facilities were no longer capable of supporting the current and expected patient load.

Solution

City Projects conducted a thorough organizational and financial analysis and subsequently developed a Pre-Development Plan outlining next steps and recommendations for the design, construction and financing of a new central facility. City Projects also spearheaded efforts to secure a conventional bank loan as well as public financing.

Outcome

CPI is currently providing development manager services for a 17,655 Sq.Ft. facility in Fort Morgan’s emerging health and human services hub. In 2014, this location will serve as the comprehensive medical home to the uninsured and medically underserved of Northwest Colorado.
